How long does it take to get a AMT License?
Under the FAA, there are two ways to qualify for the Exams.
One is a formal FAA approved Part 147, maintenance school. Normally the school are approved for a 2 year course.
Second way is On the Job Training. This is a minimum of 3 years.

Under EASA, a Part 147 school is 1 years.
